InCon welcome the arrival of Paul Whitfield to take on the new role of Managing Director.
Paul has an extensive track record in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Nuclear industries. He has worked as a Mechanical Engineer for over thirty years and has gained extensive knowledge working for engineering majors such as Bechtel, Stone & Webster, Costain, Amec, Brown & Root, Wood Group, PSN and Foster Wheeler. Paul also gained invaluable experience in energy majors such as Nuclear Electric, Shell UK and Essar Oil.
He is a pressure equipment specialist fully conversant with the specification, design and verification of process equipment, storage tanks and pressure pipework.
InCon believes this will strengthen their position in the inspection industry as they will now be able to offer design verification on new pressure equipment and fitness for purpose assessments as well as stress analysis on existing and ageing plant and pipework.
This experience, combined with InCon’s thirty years’ service history in the industry offering all inspection disciplines and weld procedure qualifications as a recognised third party inspection authority will create a new service which is unique in the field.
Paul takes control of the company effective 6th February 2017 and is relishing the challenge, saying;
“My father founded the company thirty years ago and I am proud to take over from him and continue the family tradition within the business. Hopefully, I can hand the business to one of my daughters in the future when the time comes. The company has a great future and I intend to expand our client base and consolidate our place as a leader in the market. My dad is semi-retired now but will be working full time in the immediate future to hand over his responsibilities, and he will always be available for me to tap into his vast experience and knowledge within the inspection industry.”
