Teletest Focus for Long Range UT

InCon has just invested in the latest Long Range Ultrasonic testing equipment from TWI.

Teletest® was the first commercially available system to utilise long-range guided wave ultrasonic testing for detecting corrosion in pipelines. TWI developed the technology in response to requests from Industrial Members in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical industries.

These companies required an NDT method capable of detecting corrosion in pipes and pipelines at areas inaccessible for inspection by conventional NDT methods, i.e. insulated and sleeved pipework, or pipelines running under roads or elevated on pipe racks, etc. The original Teletest® equipment has been replaced by a system with a greatly enhanced capability and the flaw detector is sold under the Teletest Focus trademark.

Our Ultrasonic Testing Technicians

All our Ultrasonic Testing Technicians are PCN LII qualified and are Confined Space Trained, all carry the latest Digital Sets and Laptops so that reports can be generated on site for instant results. We also have Cygnus Intrinsically Safe Thickness Meters which are ideal for use in potentially explosive environments such as Chemical Plants / Gas Plants, these sets also mean there is no need for removing paintwork / rust etc.
