Weld Procedures & Qualifications
Why Use InCon?
InCon is a UKAS-accredited Type A inspection body with exceptional experience witnessing and writing weld procedures. Through our Head Office UKAS accreditation, we hold a Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) appointment as a Recognised Third Party Organisation (RTPO). This allows InCon to witness welding procedures and welder qualification tests for work to be used under the Pressure Equipment Safety Regulations (PESR) in the UK and the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) in Northern Ireland.
InCon Will Take Care of the Whole Process
We will advise our client of the most cost-effective qualification and testing for the required product range. Our highly experienced staff will work with the welder and assist them wherever possible.
We control the whole process from start to finish, implementing non-destructive testing (NDT) in-house as required, and can supply results in as little as 24 hours for certain applications.
Our comprehensive and independent third party inspection services operate throughout the UK.
All of the work that we perform is in accordance with National, European and Internationally Recognised Standards, including, but not limited to:
- BS EN ISO 15614 (welding procedure range)
- BS EN ISO 9606 (welder qualification range)
- ASME IX (weld procedure and welder performance)
- BS 4872 welder competence (welder qualification range)

Operating All over the UK
Our invigilators can travel to your location in the UK, or the welders can come to our welding bays in Ellesmere Port, where thousands of welders have passed through over many years of service. We will bring all the relevant inspection equipment, including our PAMS (Portable Arc Monitoring System), to record all the relevant data and parameters.
